My Story
A mom, a teacher, a holistic nutritionist, a meditator, an animal and nature lover, an avid reader and learner …. and NOW A PAINTER ☺
The truth is I always liked drawing, and sketching and doodling on my school notes. When I was 5 or 6, I used to spend hours creating imaginary people and worlds on paper… and I loved it. But then I started growing up, high school came and I had to decide what I wanted to do in my life. I knew I wasn’t strong enough in art to make it a career, so I focused on other things.
It wasn’t until a serendipitous moment in 2015 when I bought an art kit as a gift for a very special someone. He started using it….and so did I. I discovered acrylic paints and loved them. Paintings emerged. Other than my very close friends, nobody else saw my creations until 2016. That’s when I decided to post my paintings on my FB page. It was not an easy decision because all the paintings are very personal and, in my eye, still very imperfect. What I see and sense inside me when I paint is different from what lands on canvas through my imperfect hands.
Now, finally, I learned to accept that and I have gathered enough courage to show these imprints of MY soul journey to the world, starting with a public FB page and this website. Maybe some of you will relate to my story, maybe some of you will find meaning in my creations.
